Microsoft wants to keep IT people busy in August - Patch Tuesday saw them release 14 security bulletins, that fix 34 different bugs. Eight of these bulletins are marked Critical, and of those, Microsoft said that four of them are especially important. They are: MS 10-052, fixing a bug in their MPEG Layer-3 audio codecs; MS 10-055 fixing a bug in the Cinepak Codec in Microsoft Media Player; MS 10-056, fixing four bugs in Office; and MS 10-060, which fixes Microsoft .NET Framework and Microsoft Silverlight. For a change, the most critical problems aren't in Internet Explorer.
According to the Microsoft Office 2010 Release Notes, the 64-bit version of Outlook 2010 will not sync with theWindows Mobile Device Center. If you need that compatibility, Microsoft says to uninstall the 64-bit version of Office and install the 32-bit version.
