Try to back up your iPod or iPhone, and you may get this error message, ""iTunes could not back up iPhone because the backup could not be saved on the computer." The problem may actually be in the previous backup. If those files are locked, damaged, or unreadable, the backup process won't be able to replace them with the new files, and the backup fails.
